The other side

So near yet poles apart

The other side how far ?

Road so smooth cum rough

Full of the tales of yesterday’s failures not tomorrow’s success

My path lighted by my thoughts

Extinguished by the darkness seemingly on the other side

The other side

The divide I dare not

Like a pendulum whose peace is troubled

My thoughts wandering like a floating carcasses

Preyed upon by the Ravens on the other side

Ravens whose predatory instincts is matched by no other on this side of the fence

Yet ever present to devour them who dare

The other side

The scenes are chaotic but returning is not an option echoes of terror filled the air

My heart is fainting

Strength failing

Yet the one who said to wait at the other side haven’t changed his course

The assailing ship is perturbed the water wobbles

Her misery is compounded by the contrary wind taking side with them at

The other side

Through it all my boat sailed afloat

Fishermen fret

Tax collector wailed

The storm raged

Judas reached for the treasury

Alas a ghost they cried

Peter walking on the sea

The Ravens preyed on but

He that said to wait at the other side had peace enough to spare for the other side is just within

Make me sing your song

Make me sing your song
Your song the elders bow to
The rhythm the beast respond to
The psalms the angels echoes
Make me sing your song

Make me sing the songs of Moses
The song the elders sang
to spring forth the wells…

Make me know the melodies of the timbrel of Miriam and the resonance of the dances and prancing of the women…

Make me sing your song
Of the sound of an abundance of rain like Elijah heard and the billows of the minstrel of Elisha

Make me sing your song
Of the singers on the harp
And players on the strings
Your song of ascent like the strings of David
And the song of songs of Solomon

Oh may my heart beat synchronize
With the beats of creation that my lips
Maybe worthy of your song that the mystic
Of creation unsung will be revealed to the
Players and singers
MAKE ME SING YOUR SONG…

Poor ole Noah

What were you thinking

Confronting the wisdom of men with a thus saith the Lord

It has never rained before

They laughed and jeered

Poor Ole Noah ancient in wisdom

Foolish in our sights

Peaceful is our terrain

Yet threatened by the words

Yet a little while it will rain…

Our ecosystem is friendly yet

Invited he all species of  creatures there be

 yet again the words were

A little while it will rain

We’ll get back to you they muted

Light it travels fast yet is late after time

Time they said is a friend of a wonderful company but an enemy of a mediocre was running after Noah who kept pace with just a little while…

The trees were cut

Woods chiseled

Measurements taken to scale fitting the architectural designs of his civilization

The crusaders came and poked fun at Noah…

Where is the rain they jeered…

An inch for an inch, a meter for a meter

A cubic for a cubic was the formation that brought down heavens design of a boat that beat our present day civilization of scientific methodology , research ,hypothesis and testing…

Achemedes principle, buoyancy and upthrust…

All elements needed for a boat to sail on water they said

Unlearned Noah defiled science and their series of methodology with no sail and anchor no prismatic compass to navigate the geographic north His boat was to sail in the biggest body of water there could be…

They made merry gave to wife and got married dancing to the latest beats of their civilization and laughed at poor Ole Noah who gathered a bunch of wood carving out a box for a boat saying where is your rain Noah old fool…

The days of chisling are long over the boat took shape and ready to sail

A little while seemed too long a time yet Noah took his gospel to the vast species of all creatures… a little while just a little while it will rain…

In their manner they came two by two male and female alike beast and all creatures they came at the alarm of the captain and boarded the ship…

Everyone taking their place after the instructions of the great captain Noah…

The clouds began to gather heavy with precipitation yet they made merry and were drunk with wine and funication still naming and shaming poor Ole Noah at their own detriment for yet a little while was just a rain drop away…

All hands on deck said the captain

Fasten your seatbelt …

Door was shut

yet a little while was at hand and no longer a mirrage

It rained like it had never rained before

the ran after the boat but the captain had sailed the boat to safety leaving them at Mercy of an angry God…

With no harbour and compass in the biggest and deepest water there could be poor ole Noah ducked his ship in safety…

A Pilgrims Tale

The war around me is intense

My loyalty is questioned

Spitting blood sweat and sand

The setting of the sun at the drum beat

Sets the tone for the dance my body so craved… twilight calling

I crawled into bed exhausted from the day…

Too many hours had passed since I had visited the restful solace of my own cot

My head fell to the pillow and continued to plummet deeper… deeper I stumbled

Sleep engulfing my soul

Into warm living water flowing all around me

Slowing my descent… And finally came to rest in the hand of God

There in peaceful cohabitation with Him far away from my busy life an eternity removed from the cares of my temporary earthly dwelling …

I rested renewing myself in His radiant warm embrace

I had passed through the timeless veil

Asleep to one world and awake to another

Enjoying the fleeting moment of my vacation home a galaxy away…

Seeing I’m just a pilgrim on this journey

Aware that some day I would slip into eternity and never have to return…

Where did we go wrong

We started off out of nowhere

And came to a place of near perfect understanding

Through our pros and cons against the back drop of many a friend who wondered

Where this would all lead…

Reminiscing in time

The journey has lasted many a days than most predicted

With all our flaws we stood strong cheering at each others failure and success as cheerleaders do… saying to each other it will all get better…

They pointed out fingers and yelled out abuses drawing the lines to present our imperfections making each of us feel we were the devils incarnate and unfit for each other a pal…

Our goal was simple and our cause justified

Ours was a tale of shear determination and a hunger to succeed and to prove doubters wrong inspite of our different up bringing our story was our motivation and ourselves our pride…

No matter the rains the summer must still come…

I’m catching a deep breath hoping summer is a long way off and hoping it would rain forever but my umbrella can take but a few drops of the precipitation leaving me in a state of quagmire… lest to say Phantasmagoria …

Reaching out to fate to fetch what she holds for me is not an option but an opinion my thoughts are wondering about giving her the nourishing she long craves for… making me want to ask the question were did we go wrong ?

A thousand questions are running through my thoughts like an athlete triggering his adrenaline I’m high on my thoughts…

One thing I’m saying is

Is all well with me… no is all well with you ?

I’m standing in front of a mirror but see no images could it be that my vision is impaired… ?

I’m walking down the road I see no shadows

All I see is images of a mirrage fading away like flashes of lightenings …

I’m loosing it like what I’m I imagining?

This was not what we were supposed to be I’m going speechless…

I’m raining tears like a flood of a river escaping her banks

Wake me up when my tears are dried

And when my eyes can dream no more

To tell me it’s just a Deja Vu

I’m silent yet soliloquising in audible snore

The misdemeanor of my countenance says it all …

We watched and stared in despair
Hoping this could all disappear
For our greatest fear was far and near
I wish this could not be a tear

My silence is eloquence but my eloquence is not silent hoping we would not come to the place where it all began to ask ourselves this question…

Where did we go wrong?

Heart cry

Like a bird perching on a rope will dance to the rhythm of the rope so my heart is perched on you till you cause my soul dance to the rhythm of your heart beat

The heart it beats 72 times per minute

Incline my ears to the 72 symphonies of the beats of your heart that my lips would be worthy of your love song

Entrap me in your symphonies

Enshrine me in your love till I’m knocked out like a crack head rockstar singing your love song

Oh the emblem of my heart be marked by a show of love

And the embodiment of my thoughts express thy affection with untamed jealousy

Stir your love in me and I will speak of it with ink of jealousy and sing songs of forever …

Forever falling in love

My heart it bleeds for love

love bled for me on Calvary street

my soul is lost in this tale, I’m returning to the place we first met …

To the place I fell in love

Memoirs of an imperfect Angel

My time of sighing is over

I’m thinking of crying

My hour of laughter is come

I feel I’m jerking

My nightmares are few

But I hear many voices

Wake me up when my tears are dried

And when my eyes can dream no more

To tell me it’s just a Deja Vu

I’m silent yet soliloquising in audible snore

The misdemeanor of my countenance says it all …

Flares of light , flashes of darkness

The good of today and the evil of yesterday

The joy of the morrow and sorrow of the days are hounding me with a glaring stare

The days of my little beginnings are few yet shrouded with memories of an imperfect past…

Yeah I know is a memoir of an imperfect Angel

The fantasies I seek are far and near and my joy short lived …

Reminiscent of the memoirs of an imperfect angel…

They said, he said, she said

Cloud I was without water

Dried as a root in arid ground

So covered I my face in despiteful pulchritude

My consolation is driven by my ugly past

I stand not making a speech in self defense nor to seek therapy to boost a low self-esteem…

I stand to thrive in my imperfections

Hoping it will  be chronicled that when I stood abused, accused and seduced my imperfections matched up with the perfection of men who dwell in a perfect world

knowing mine is just a memoir of an imperfect Angel…

Whose path is drenched in MERCY and feet rooted in GRACE

Love found me

Love has called my name

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus your own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
